Trottiscliffe Village

Trottiscliffe, pronounced Trosley, is a picturesque village nestled beneath the south chalk downs with stunning views of sweeping meadows across the valley. The artist Graham Sutherland once lived here, in a weatherboarded house near the village centre.

Our primary school is the core of the close-knit village life.

The White House dates from the 16th century and was once the village butchers.
The artist Graham Sutherland lived here from 1945 until his death in 1980.
