Recognising our Christian heritage that we are all made in the image of God, and that Jesus came to bring life to the full, our school commits to:

  • Respecting ourselves and each other
  • Our passion to inspire and nurture the unique gifts of each person
  • Becoming an ever stronger Christian community
  • Embedding the Christian values of thankfulness, compassion, hope, peace, trust and friendship, and endurance/perseverance.

"Trottiscliffe ‘is a small school with a big heart’. This sums up very well its caring, family nature, where older pupils show a kindly concern for the younger ones." (SIAS report March 2013)

Our school is situated in the beautiful village of Trottiscliffe, in Kent, between Vigo and West Malling. Most children travel from a wide catchment area, including Gravesend, West Kingsdown, Maidstone and Kings Hill, with families choosing our school for its child-orientated ethos. Here children play in the natural beauty of the grounds, with access to the village field, and trees to climb.

"Teaching is consistently good and teachers are always striving to improve. They plan lessons that excite the pupils and there is a strong focus on investigative approaches to learning in all lessons." (Ofsted June 2013)

At Trottiscliffe CE Primary, we have a team of teachers that include some who are new to the school and we are excited about starting a new academic year with good and outstanding practice in leading learning, using a curriculum that is fresh each year and built on the interests and comments of children, parents and teachers. We have an important principle when choosing topics for the year - if it doesn't excite the staff and children, don't do it! Teachers are highly skilled and motivated to provide the best for our children who are an absolute joy to work with.
