We follow Tricia Lee’s ‘Poetry Basket’ in Reception. The Poetry Basket consists of many lesser-known children’s poems written by anonymous authors.  The children learn each poem off by heart along with actions and this brilliant for developing rhythm and rhyme, improving communication and language whilst having fun!  Exploration and teaching often follows the seasons as well as particular interests being explored by the children in class.
