  • Autumn Term Overview

    Fri 19 Dec 2025

What an amazingly busy Autumn this has been, and so much has been squeezed in – Kent Test, Book Fair, Geography trip to West Malling, trip to the West End to watch Hercules, Cerebal Palsy Day, Mental Health Day, Harvest Festival, Pumpkins, Parent Evenings, School Photos, Fireworks Night, Governor Monitoring  Morning, Open Morning, Vision Day, Children in Need, Writers Workshop, Netball matches, SIAMS Inspection, Gymnastics competition, Balanceability, Prayer Activity morning, Santa Dash, Elfridges gift grotto, iRock Concert, pantomime trip, Christmas Dinner, Christmas Jumper Day, two performances of Superstar! and our carol service.  As well as all their normal learning and playing in school and at clubs and activities. It’s hardly surprising that the children (and staff) are all rather tired right now.

I hope you all enjoyed watching your little ‘stars’ on stage on Tuesday. We are so proud of how the children have represented the school already this year, the feedback from our SIAMs Inspection was testament to this and thank you to the parents who took time to congratulate the school on our inspection outcomes, it always means so much to have your support.

You can join the village at St Peter and St Paul’s Church, Trottiscliffe at 3pm on Christmas Eve for the family Crib Service and at 11:30pm for Midnight Mass. On Christmas Day the Holy Communion service in Trottiscliffe is at 9:30am.

We hope all our families have a wonderful, restful break together and enjoy the Christmas festivities.  We will see you in the new year.

  • Pantomime Trip

    Wed 10 Dec 2025

The whole school had a fantastic time on Wednesday when we set off en masse to enjoy Cinderella at Woodville Halls.  It is always delightful to see how the children of all ages enjoy this traditional theatre experience and, despite all the excitement, as always their behaviour was excellent and they were a credit to the school.  Huge thanks to our wonderful TSA for organising this every year and treating the school to interval ice creams too.

  • Advent Activity Morning

    Mon 01 Dec 2025

It is always lovely when our worship committee alongside Rev Helen and Rev Carol lead our activity mornings at the church and Monday’s Advent morning was no different.  Each of the committee led activities for the rest of the school to remind the children of why we celebrate Advent and what Christians are getting excited about at this time of year.

  • New EYFS Equipment

    Fri 31 Jan 2025

During our Inset day back in November, while the staff were at an education conference, Mrs Frame entered a prize draw to win some play equipment for our school. We were very lucky to discover that our school won first prize comprising of a set of outdoor play equipment for Early Years from Playtime by Fawns! The new equipment was delivered to the school this week and Kenya Class wasted no time in exploring it. It is always lovely to offer new resources to the children to enhance our provision.

  • Attendance Award

    Fri 06 Dec 2024

We were proud to receive today a National School Attendance Award recognising our school as being in the top 10% for attendance across primary schools in England.

We thank all parents who support us by not taking their children out of school for days out or holidays and for ensuring their child attends school regularly.

  • Writing Showcase on Wednesday 18th December at 3pm

    Tue 03 Dec 2024

Dear Parents and Carers of Congo, Uganda and Burundi Classes

As a school, we are continuing to work on providing regular opportunities for the children to edit and redraft their writing to be enjoyed by an audience, and what better audience to enjoy it than their own families!

As such, we are delighted to invite you into school for our very first Writing Showcase on Wednesday 18th December.  You are welcome to visit your child/children in their classes from 3pm onwards for them to share their most recent writing with you.  If you or any other family members are unable to attend, please be assured that your child won't miss out - we plan on placing different teachers in different classes for the session, so that those children can still share their writing with someone new.

We very much look forward to seeing you then!

    Best wishes

    Mrs Rebecca Fisher

    Senior Teacher

  • A Message from our Trottiscliffe School Association

    Fri 08 Nov 2024

    Dear Trottiscliffe Parents and Guardians,

As we look forward to an exciting school year, we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated parents who tirelessly contribute their time and energy to the Trottiscliffe School Association (TSA). Thanks to their efforts, our children enjoy wonderful experiences such as the whole school pantomime, the creation of our new library, outdoor African Lapa hut and memorable events like the Year 6 leavers trips, second-hand uniform sales, firework night, your child’s artwork on merchandise, discos, and even The George beer festival!

However, we believe that the joy of giving back should be shared by all. Currently, a small group of parents is shouldering the majority of the responsibilities, and we would love to see more of our community come together to support these initiatives. Whether you can spare a little time for small tasks or take on larger projects, every bit of help makes a difference. With more hands on deck, we can lighten the load and continue to provide enriching experiences for our pupils.

If you’re interested in joining our team of volunteers, we invite you to connect with us! We have a TSA WhatsApp group where you can stay updated and coordinate with other parents. Being part of this group not only allows you to contribute to our school community but also helps you connect with fellow parents who share the same passion for enhancing our children’s school experience.

To express your interest or for more information, please contact the school office. One of our volunteers will reach out to you with details on how you can get involved.

Thank you for considering this opportunity to make a positive impact at Trottiscliffe. Together, we can achieve so much more!

    Warm regards,

    Trottiscliffe School Association.

  • School Games Gold Mark Award

    Fri 08 Nov 2024

We are delighted to announce that we achieved the School Games Gold Mark Award for the 2023/24 academic year.  This is the first time our school has ever achieved this level of the award.

The School Games Mark is a Government-led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success.

With several of our young people competing in local inter-school competitions this year, we are extremely proud of our pupils for their dedication to all aspects of school sport.

As part of our application, we were asked to fulfil criteria in the areas of participation, competition, workforce and clubs, and we are pleased that the hard work of everyone at our school has been rewarded this year.

A special thanks to Mrs Smith and Mrs Wickett for all their hard work in supporting our school to achieve this accreditation, including the rigorous moderation process. We look forward to applying once again in 2025!

  • Wraparound After School Care

    Fri 18 Oct 2024

We are now able to announce that we have a provider for wraparound care after school each day in addition to our school Breakfast Club.

This will be launching from November 4th at school and parents are able to book online from today.  DDivine offers a mix of arts & crafts, games and sporting activities at each session.  The organisation is already established at a number of other schools and we are pleased to be able to offer this to support our working families.

Until the final registration with Ofsted comes through, they will initially be operating until 5:30pm but once the registration is in place, they will be able to offer care until 6pm each day.  To fit in around the after-school activities the school already offers, parents are able to book sessions from 3:30-4:30pm and 4:30pm-5:30pm so that children who wish to attend school clubs can still do so and then go to the after school club afterwards.

To book sessions for your child, you can use the following link  https://ddivine-training.classforkids.io/
